Bio :

Ashley Clark was born and raised in San Diego. She started teaching sign language on Instagram in 2014 after seeing through the hashtag #americansignlangauge that there were so many people wanting to learn sign language but so many of these accounts stopped uploading videos. Ashley, seeing a need, decided to start a new account, @SignedWithHeart, to help people learn basic sign language. Ashley’s goals with Signed With Heart are to raise more Deaf Awareness, to help improve communication between the hearing and the Deaf, and also to reach hearing parents of a deaf child and encourage them to learn sign language to communicate with their deaf child.

As soon as Ashley’s parents found out she was born deaf, they took sign language classes to learn to communicate with her and she can’t imagine her life without a family that communicates with her. Ashley strongly believes that it is critical to a deaf child’s success that hearing parents learn sign language to communicate with them. She’s so grateful and thankful that she’s able to make a difference with Signed With Heart.
