BIO:

Dolores “Lola’ Ramierz Barrett, Arizona. She made history being the First Latina Deaf Woman to graduate from Gallaudet College in 1954 with B.A. in Home Economics. She was a teacher at Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind (ASDB) in Tucson, AZ. She was an advocate in the deaf community in Arizona. She was one of advocates for senior housing for the Deaf (helped to establish Apache ASL Trails Apartment Building for the Deaf in Tempe, Arizona.
