Sandra Mae Frank is a trained stage and film actor with BA in Performance & Production from Gallaudet University, best known for her role as Wendla from Deaf West’s Spring Awakening on Broadway, Tello Films’ Season of Love, and Netflix’s Daybreak. As an actor, she strongly advocates for more ASL visuality on screen and stage so that way Deaf people finally see themselves and be understood. She educates hearing people in the industry about the authenticity of Deaf culture being accurately written for Deaf characters and she’ll always continue to defy the norms by breaking through barriers.
