Bio :
Dr. Pamela Jackson, DDS, is the first Black Deaf female Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Jackson completed her undergraduate work at Gallaudet University and then went on to study at an historic HBCU, Meharry Medical College. After graduating with her DDS degree, she established a private dental office where she practiced for 10 years. Desiring to work more closely with the grass roots Deaf population in her home town , Atlanta Georgia, she transitioned careers and joined the Georgia Department of Rehabilitation where she worked exclusively with a D/HH caseload helping them to secure educational and career goals. She is now retired and currently resides Atlanta, Georgia.
